This years Surf Force is an evolution of our core themes of learning, giving back and the ocean. We’re asking our Salesforce Ohana to take an adventure to Bundoran, Ireland and participate in an intimate learning experience combined with a volunteering activity to grow local employment. Underpinning this 2 day event is a connection to the environment through luminary talks on tackling ocean pollution and as the name suggests, an opportunity to play in the surf.
Day 1 is all about learning, sharing your trials and tribulations in building apps that customers love. Expect an intimate knowledge exchange through a series of talks and workshops from Salesforce trailblazers. One of the many highlights will be diversity pioneer and Inspirefest founder Ann O’Dea, who will be sharing her personal story on running one of Europe’s leading tech news service and addressing the gender imbalance in STEM industries. Closing out the first day of festivities will be a panel with local ocean campaigners discussing how to tackle ocean pollution with tech.
Day 2 is a chance to welcome new members to the Salesforce Ohana and have some fun. We will freshen up your body and soul with a surfing lesson in the morning followed by volunteering in the afternoon. You will help local Bundorans join the Salesforce economy by getting them started on Trailhead, polishing their LinkedIn profile and participate in some grassroots action through Global Giving.
So, calling all the roamers, seekers and adventures in the Salesforce Ohana. Come join us on the adventure that is Surf Force.
See you there…
